Ghana, Charles Kwabla Akonnor has entreated Ghanaians to rally behind Baba Rahman to get better rather than constant criticism.
According to him, the on-loan Chelsea defender has been through a lot and for that matter, urging Ghanaians to support him in these difficult times of his career.
Baba, after struggling against South Africa last Thursday at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg received a lot of backlash from Ghanaians.
However, he redeemed himself with an outstanding performance against Sao Tome and Principe as he subsequently scored his debut goal for the national team.
“This boy has been through a lot okay through injuries and stuff, he got injured here when he was in the AFCON, I mean who will be the best people to help him I mean I think is a bit too harsh the way we criticizing him”
“Yes he is on his way to be better and he will do well in the coming days. Now he is got a club he is going to play regularly and things will change for him but I think we are a bit hard on him” he said.
