Black Stars coach Otto Addo has named legendary Abedi Pele as his favourite Black Stars player of all time.
In an interview, the former Dortmund star disclosed he used to watch the three-time African footballer of the year winner and Antony Yeboah while growing up.
“Abedi Pele is my favourite Black Stars player of all time. When I was young I used to watch Ghana football and also watch Ghanaian footballers in Europe. He was one of the players I looked up to. Anthony Yeboah as well. These are my favourite players,” he told TV3.
Otto Addo will lead the Black Stars at the 2022 World Cup to be staged in Qatar next month.
The Black Stars are returning to the global showpiece after missing out in Russia 2018, where France emerged as a winner.
Ghana has been housed in Group H at the mundial against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
The West African powerhouse will open its World Cup account against Portugal on November 24 before taking on Uruguay and South Korea respectively.
