Ghana has recorded 8001 COVID-19 deaths from March 2020 to 8th July 2021.
Active cases have increased from 1,500 at the ending of June to 2,247 in 8th July, according to the Ghana Health Service report.
The report indicated that Greater Accra Region has the highest number of Active cases, which is 1,253, followed by Ashanti, with 655, but there is no case in Savannah, Upper West, and Upper East Region.
Eleven patients are in critical condition, while 23 others are also in severe.
Ghana has conducted a total of 1,327,990 COVID-19 tests as of 8th July with 97,585 positive cases.
At the Kotoka International Airport, the test conducted stands at 353,150, and 1,946 have been confirmed positive, but 1,840 have recovered and discharged.
Active cases among international travelers as of 8th July are 106.
