Ghana international Mohammed Salisu made a triumphant to action at the weekend when AS Monaco faced Stade Rennes in the French Ligue 1.
Salisu, who has been out of action since March 2023 returned last Saturday to make his debut for Monaco when they cruised to a 2-1 away win over their opponent.
The Black Stars defender lasted the entire duration and delivered an outstanding performance as his side snatch maximum points in the game.
He was cautioned in the game but showcased a top class performance in the game.
Salisu’s return comes as a huge boost for the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the 2023 AFCON tournament to be staged in Ivory Coast.
The defender is a huge candidate for the continental showpiece next month.
