Ghana Football legend Mohammed Polo has expressed his displeasure over the consistent national team coaching job snub.
Polo, a member of the Black Stars squad that won the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations title who feels he is competent to lead one of the national teams has been ignored many times by the domestic football governing bod.
And according to him, the football association has not been fair to him over lack of national team coaching opportunities.
He told Koforidua-based Bryt FM, “Exactly, you’ve nailed it. The Ghana Football Association has not been fair to me at all. Since time immemorial I have not been given the chance to lead any of our national teams which is very bad. Ghanaians don’t want the best, that’s how I see things. I have waited for national team coaching opportunities, yet it has not happened. I just need the opportunity to prove myself because I know what I’m capable off”
Polo played a huge role when the Black Stars won their third Africa Cup of Nations title in 1978.
