Ghanaian forward Caleb Ekuban is set to join Italian Serie A side Genoa in the ongoing transfer window.
The enterprising forward was instrumental last season for Trabzonspor scoring 11 goals in 33 games for the club and has become a subject of interest for several clubs in Europe including Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Saint Etienne following his superlative performance last season.
According to reports in Italy, the 28-year-old Caleb Ekuban will complete his transfer from Trabzonspor to Genoa this weekend.
The deal is believed to be worth €2m plus performance-related bonuses.
Ekuban came up through the Chievo Verona youth academy, going on to represent lower-level clubs like Sudtirol, Lumezzane, and Renate.
After a spell at Leeds United in 2017-18, he moved to Trabzonspor for €1.2m in 2019.
Ekuban has capped 9 times for Ghana scoring 3 goals in the process.
