Ghana international Jordan Ayew is expected to make a quick injury for Leicester City in the English Premier League.
The experienced forward sustained an injury in the penultimate AFCON 2025 qualifying game against Angola.
Ayew then missed the Black Stars final round of the qualifier against Niger and had to return to Leicester for further assessment.
Giving an injury update ahead of Chelsea clash, manager Steve Cooper allayed down Ayew’s injury fears, saying he could feature this weekend.
“It’s not a serious injury contrary to some reports. The hope is he may be available for the weekend, but we’re a little inconclusive on that for the moment,” he said.
Jordan Ayew joined Leicester City during the summer transfer window after ending his seven year spell with Crystal Palace.
The Black Stars forward has since been influential, scoring crucial goals for the Foxes in the Premier League
