Ghana has suffered a major setback ahead of the upcoming friendly matches against Japan and South Korea, with several key players expected to miss the games.
The West African football heavyweights are embarking on an Asia tour as part of preparation for the 2026 World Cup tournament.
The Black Stars will face Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup on Friday, November 14, at Toyota Stadium in Aichi, before taking on South Korea on Tuesday, November 18.
Ahead of the games, several key players including Alexander Djiku, Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Fatawu Issahaku, Joseph Paintsil, and Mohammed Kudus have all withdrawn from the squad due to recent injuries.
However, coach Otto Addo has handed call-ups to new faces, including Prince Owusu (CF Montreal), Kelvin Nkrumah (Medeama), and Czech-based striker Prince Kwabena Adu.
Meanwhile, Otto Addo has yet to disclose his squad for the upcoming friendly matches in the Asian country.
