Parliament has mourned the sudden death of Charles Kojo Fosu, populary known as Daddy Lumba.
Making a statement of the floor of Parliament, the MP for Nsuta Kwaman Beposo, Adelaide Agyeiwaa Ntim described Daddy Lumba, as a culture icon who was more than musician and called for a state burial.
paying a tribute to the late musical icon,she noted that Lumba’s songs span generation, touching of love, life, hardship, and celebration.
“DL’s contributions to Ghana’s music industry are invaluable. He was a pioneer of high life and hip life gener, mentoring many musicians”.she said
According to her, Lumba’s authenticity is always intact.
On behalf of her constituents and traditional leaders in Nsuta kwaman, appealed to the government to consider awarding national honours, including a state assisted funeral and establishing an initiative to preserve and promote his musical legacy.
