The Black Stars of Ghana has maintained their position in the latest FIFA Men’s Ranking released on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Globally, the West African football powerhouse sit 72nd spot, while retaining 14th position on the African continent.
The unchanged standings reflect a period of stability for the four-time African champions as the team gears up for the upcoming World Cup tournament to be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Despite not participation in the AFCON 2025 tournament, the Black Stars has maintained their positions in the latest rankings, marking a steady beginning in 2026.
Meanwhile, Morocco enjoyed a significant rise despite narrowly missing out on the Africa Cup of Nations title. The Atlas Lions now sit eighth position worldwide after climbing three places up in the rankings.
This marks their highest-ever ranking and their first return to the global top ten since April 1998.
AFCON champions Senegal also made a notable statement, surging seven places to 12th worldwide.
At the global level, Euro 2024 champions, Spain remains top of the ranking, followed by Argentina, France and England in the top four.
