The leader and Flag bearer of the of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),Mr John Dramani Mahama has said Ghana urgently needs a leader with an unwavering desire to get things done in a no-frils, no thrills, business-like manner.
He added that the Country does not need a leader enamored with sloganeering, excessive partisanshp, persona comfort, and shallow popuism.
His Excellency John Mahama said this in his acceptance speech following his election as the NDC’s flagbearer.
The NDC leader said Ghana’s next leader should exercise sound judgement and be able to make the right cas and at the right time and a leader who accepts responsibility and works
to fix the problem and not shift bame onto others.
He said the leader should be one whose heart is filled with compassion for the people and who has the humility to connect with and understand the needs of the peope he serves and shoud not be a leader who views the pubic purse as a family heirloom or even the mandate given him to govern as the manifestation of a birth right.
Mr. Mahama said it is time for Ghanaians to elect a leader who has his sights on leaving a legacy for posterity.
