The 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stated that Ghana needs a new leader with fresh and innovative ideas and a mindset to craft and implement bold solutions for the future.
To him, the 2024 December elections will be the greatest opportunity for Ghanaians to elect a president with new innovative ideas.
‘‘We don’t need to go back to a leader who woefully failed and only fulfilled 28% of his promises as president,” Dr. Bawumia said this during his constituency-focused nationwide campaign tour to Nsawam-Adoagyiri Constituency in the Eastern Region.
Dr. Bawumia indicated that the NPP-led administration has introduced social interventional programs, including free senior high school, free technical and vocational education, the restoration of nursing and training allowances, planting for food and jobs, and many others.
With better governance, Dr. Bawumia advised Ghanaians to look forward and not backward.
Dr. Bawumia paid a courtesy call on Nsawam-Adoagyiri Hene, Nana Kwamena Ansah I, as part of his constituency-focused nationwide campaign tour to Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency.
Dr. Bawumia disclosed that his government will pay living allowances to paramount chiefs and queen mothers.
Dr. Bawumia highlighted that the living allowances will enable the chiefs to get adequate resources to perform their responsibilities effectively at all levels.
Nsawam-Adoagyiri Hene, Nana Kwamena Ansah I also commended Dr. Bawumia for his digital transformational agenda.
Nana Kwamena Ansah I appealed to Dr. Bawumia to construct an ultra-modern market to improve trading in the Nsawam Municipality.
