Ghana and Denmark are launching a state-of-the-art digital collaboration on the Volta Lake.
The project aims at identifying danger-areas for mariners on the lake – the largest man-made lake in the world.
Through this intervention, vessel operators will have safe navigable routes to follow.
They will be less likely to hit submerged tree stumps in the lake, which are a major cause of the accidents on the lake.
This is part of the Phase III activities of the Maritime Strategic Sector Cooperation between Denmark and Ghana.
