Ghana Black Stars ended the year 2019 as the 47th best team in the World after FIFA released the December edition of its ranking.
The national football team of Ghana managed to squeeze themselves into the top 50 in the World despite a patchy year.
Ghana could not make an impression at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, managing just a round of 16 finish.
However, the team’s impressive performance at the WAFU Cup of Nations seemed to have made an impact in Ghana’s ranking.
The Black Stars B managed a second place finish at the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations in Senegal.
Prior to the latest ranking, Ghana occupied the 51st position on the globe before moving four place up to pick up the 47th spot.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars maintain their 6th place in Africa.
Belgium, France, Brazil, England and Uruguay are the top five ranked sides in the World for 2019.
