Nsoatreman FC striker Samuel Ofori believes the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign has been competitive as compared to previous years.
A chunk of Ghanaians has recently raised concerns about the competitiveness of the domestic top-flight but Samuel Ofori, who has been outstanding for Nsoatreman FC this season thinks otherwise.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the forward hailed the clubs for making this year’s league among one of the competitive leagues seasons in the country.
“I’m not new to the Ghana Premier League because I have had spells with Berekum Chelsea, Medeama, Karela United, Bibiani Goldstars and now with Nsoatreman”
“Truth be told; this year’s league has been very competitive as compared to previous years. You will only claim the league is not competitive if you don’t follow. Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are always tipped to be at the top but it not like that this time around, even their early exit from the FA Cup tells you something” he said.
Aduana Stars are currently leading the table with 50 points after 28 matches, followed closely by Medeama SC who are just three points behind them.
Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea are third and fourth on the table with 45 and 43 points respectively.
Meanwhile, the two most glamourous clubs in the country, Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are currently out of the top four. They sits 5th and 6th positions respectively.
