Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Kofi Abanga believes the battle for the Ghana Premier League title is still open and is of the view no club can claim to be winners at the moment.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Abanga indicated it is too early to declare Asante Kotoko as winners. He believes there is chunk of games to be played before the season ends.
Kotoko are 8 points clear at the top of the table with 46 points after 22 matches into the domestic top-flight.
“The title race is still open because there are a lot of matches to be played. The gap between the first and second team on the table is not that huge so we cannot declare any team as winners at the moment”
‘I cannot not rule Hearts of Oak out of the title race. They struggled at some point last season, yet they won the league” he said.
