The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association is reported to have settled on the first week of October for the Start of the 2020/2021 football season after a marathon meeting on Wednesday, July 14, 2020.
The executive council despite coming out with a date for the new season will seek the direction of the Government of Ghana and the Ministry of Health on the future outcome of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ghana FA cancelled the 2019 season midway after a three-month suspension due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The EXCO at its meeting stressed that should the virus be contained and the Government lifts the ban contact Sports, the new season will start from October and end in May of 2021.
The FA is set to release the calendar for the coming season which will include the international calendar.
