Ghana has recorded 385 new cases of coronavirus in a single day increasing the active cases to 1,541.
The Ghana Health Service announced Thursday Morning that, 236 new confirmed cases had been recorded.
Seven hours later, it announced additional 149 cases.
The number of recoveries and discharges are 48,096 out of 49,957 total confirmed cases recorded in the country since March 2020.
The number of death toll remains 320 as new deaths recorded are being validated.
Among the dead are some top political figures in the country with the latest being former President Jerry John Rawlings.
Experts fear the country may enter into a second wave of the disease as many Ghanaians have become complacent disregarding the preventive protocols, particularly during Political Campaigns ahead of the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
