The senior national soccer team, the Black Stars have successfully secured their 24th Africa Cup of Nations qualification after defeating Central Africa Republic to chalk the feat.
The Black Stars inflicted a 2-1 win over their opponent at the Baba Yara Stadium to qualify for the 2023 Afcon tournament to be played in January 2024.
The visitors shot into the lead in the first half, sending a signal about their intention to qualify at the expense of Ghana.
But the four-time Afcon winners put up a spirited performance to emerge as winners in the crucial game.
West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus leveled the pegging for Ghana after scoring a beautiful free-kick on the stroke of first half.
Ghana uplifted their game in the second half and grab the match winner through Ernest Nuamah.
The Black Stars finished on top in Group E with 12 points.
