Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has emerged as a top transfer target for Newcastle United this summer.
The Magpies are said to be planning life without England international Anthony Gordon, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool.
The Reds are keen about securing the services of Gordon ahead of the new season.
And according to reports in England, Newcastle United have identified the Black Stars and West Ham United midfielder as a potential replacement for Anthony Gordon.
Kudus made an immediate impact at West Ham after joining the club from Ajax last season.
He racked up eight goals and provided five assists in his debut Premier League appearance. In the Europa League, he managed five goals including a belter against Freiburg.
The former Ajax star was in blistering form when his outfit succumbed to a 4-3 defeat to Newcastle United. He scored and registered an assists in the thrilling clash last season.
It appears his performance caught the attention of the Magpies, who now wants to secure his services.
However, West Ham are unlikely to part with Kudus easily, especially after acquiring him for £38 million.
Newcastle may face a considerable challenge in securing his services.
Kudus has been impressing in pre-season and is focused on further establishing himself in the upcoming campaign.
