The Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing education quality and access during his keynote address at the launch of the Ghana 2025 Education Statistics Report.
The report, developed by the Ghana Statistical Service in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, analyzes data from 2000 to 2023, focusing on trends in enrolment, gender parity, pupil-teacher ratios, and examination pass rates.
The findings provide valuable insights to drive education reforms and align policies with the Education Strategic Plan (ESP) 2018-2030 and Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4).
Hon. Iddrisu emphasized the importance of evidence-based policymaking in strengthening Ghana’s education sector.
He commended the Ghana Statistical Service and all stakeholders for their efforts in producing this critical report, which will serve as a guide for decision-making and resource allocation.
The Ministry of Education remains committed to ensuring that every child in Ghana has access to quality and inclusive education.
Stakeholders and development partners are encouraged to collaborate in implementing the report’s recommendations to enhance learning outcomes nationwide.
