Aspiring Independent Presidential Candidate in the December polls Mr. Marricke Kofi Gane said Ghanaians should have a say in making appointments by the government and that Ghanaians are the people who voted for the President and for that matter must include any time he decides to appoint anyone into a government office.
According to the Presidential candidate, institutions have a say in selecting anyone to fill a position in their respective sector of the economy.
Saying at a debate on Thursday, August 13, 2020, Mr. Gane averred that this will help prevent partiality in the administration of every institute in the country.
Mr. Gane made this known at the maiden edition of the Minority Political Parties and Independent Candidates Election Debate organized by Joy News and IMANI Centre for Policy and Education.
Indicating that when given the power come December 7, he will prefer working with experts alongside the president to ensure balance in the ministries and agencies.
“One of the things that I have decided that we will do is to set up committees that involve people from all walks of life, the professional sectors, the judiciary and other elements of our society to put out names to the President from Ghanaians home and abroad to ensure that we break down that element of the President having to choose everybody that he knows,” he indicated.
