Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Laryea has been named among a tall lists of referees selected for the FIFA U17 World Cup tournament.
The much-anticipated tournament will be staged in Indonesia from November 10 to December 2, 2023.
Twenty-four countries will battle it out for the covetous trophy in the southeast Asian country.
The lists of referees selected for the tournament included 11 Africans, with Laryea no exception.
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old appears to be the only Ghanaian referee to have made the list for the tournament.
Laryea will be one of the 18 Video Assistant Referees in Indonesia during the tournament.
But it is important to note that the Black Starlets did not qualify for the tournament. Africa will be represented by the U17 champions Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Morocco.
