Astute statesman and politician, Dr Nyaho Tamakloe has graded President Akufo-Addo’s performance a 4% out of 10% despite accepting the fact that he is not a teacher.
In an interview with Rowland Walker on TV3’s New Day political show on Wednesday, October 26, the founding member of the ruling New Patriotic Party insisted President Akufo-Addo’s performance since assuming office in 2017 does not closer to the administration of erstwhile Kuffour-led government.
The comment of the statement comes at a time when about 87 majority lawmakers are demanding the removal of the Finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta over his poor performance with regard to the economy as the cedi continues to depreciate against the dollar.
According to Dr Nyaho Tamakloe, he was hopeful President Akufo-Addo could lead the country and therefore endorsed his candidature to lead the NPP and consequently become the President of the republic.
Despite describing it as a late decision by the aggrieved majority MPs, the statesman supported their action and said “it is never too late”.
Dr Nyaho Tamakloe has occasionally complained about the performance of the Akufo-Addo government on some of its shortfalls and proposed suggestions but seem not to be adhered to by the President.
President Akufo-Addo has been jabbed for his overconfidence in the Finance minister as several calls for his dismissal has been debunked by the President on several occasions.
The President insisted the minister and other several appointees have performed well and does not need to be reshuffled for any reason.
