Ghana’s fallen star Christian Atsu final funeral rite would be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the forecourt of the State House.
The 2015 AFCON best player died tragically in Turkey following a massive earthquake that hit the European country on February 6.
Atsu’s body was pulled out of the rubble 12 days later after continuous search.
The mortal remains of the late Ghanaian footballer was flown to Ghana on Sunday, February 18 and met on arrival by a delegation led by Ghana’s vice president, Dr. Bawumia.
On March 4, his one-week observation was held and it was announced that the former Chelsea star final funeral rites will be held at the forecourt of the State House.
The event is expected to have in attendance, government officials, active and retired footballers, members of the diplomatic community, Ghana FA officials and others.
Atsu made 65 appearances for the Black Stars, scoring nine goals for the Black Stars. He was best player at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
