Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori is expected to remain on the sidelines for an extended period due to knee injury.
Ofori, was expected to return to action by the start of the 2023 calendar year but the narrative has changed.
The shot stopper who missed the 2022 World Cup tournament through injury will remain out until mid to late January this year.
The Ghanaian is one of four players listed to return by the aforementioned period by Orlando Pirates.
Tebogo Tlolane (nursing an MCL tear) Olisa Ndah (dealing with a niggle) and Thembinkosi Lorch (dealing with a knock) are listed out at the moment.
The Ofori led quartet missed Orlando Pirates’ 0-2 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in the first round of games following the resumption of South Africa’s DSTV League.
Ofori was in line to be named in the Black Stars World Cup squad until aggravating a knee injury in Orlando Pirates win in the MTN Final 8.
