Ghana international Jerome Opoku has joined Turkish outfit Turkish outfit Istanbul Basaksehir following a massive loan stint at the club.
Opoku joined the Turkish club on loan from Portuguese side Arouca before the start of the 2023/24 football season with a purchase option.
However, Basaksehir have triggered the purchase option to secure the services of the Ghanaian top defender on permanent deal.
Opoku has penned a three year deal keeping him at the club until the summer of 2027.
The Black Stars was instrumental for Basaksehir in the recently concluded season, scoring four goals and providing an assist in 28 games.
He is expected to play a huge role for the club in the upcoming season, where Basaksehir will feature in Europe.
