In-form Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has expressed gratitude to God for his superlative performance this season for Genk.
Paintsil has been in fine form, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists for Genk in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.
“It’s the doing of the Lord. I believe it is my time to shine. I will give thanks to God because I wouldn’t have reached this far without him”
“I will continue to fight and see what God has for me” said the 25-year-old.
Painstil has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League clubs, including Brighton, Brentford and Fulham.
But Genk has ruled out summer transfer of the Ghana international as they intend to build a strong squad for European competitions next season.
Painstil current contract with Genk will elapse in the summer of 2026.
