Ghana international Salis Abdul Samed has signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at RC Lens until 2028.
The Black Stars midfielder superlative performance in his first season at the French Ligue 1 side did not go unnoticed, having been awarded a new deal at the club.
Salis Samed joined Lens from Clermont Foot before the start of the just ended season and made his presence felt, helping the club to book UEFA Champions League spot.
Explaining the decision to extend the 23-year old’s contract, the General Manager of the club Arnaud Pouille said, “We are starting this summer transfer window with the extension of a key player in the collective, in terms of performance and state of mind, Salis Abdul Samed. The Black Stars midfielder made 33 Ligue 1 appearances and scored a goal for Lens last season.
