Black Stars defender Gideon Mensah’s debut for Bordeaux has been delayed due to International Transfer Certificate (ITC) issues.
The enterprising left-back joined the club on a one-year loan deal from the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.
The deal could be made permanent if he manages to impress the club at the end of the 2021/22 season.
The Ghanaian defender was not in action for Bordeaux in their season opener against newly-promoted side Clermont Foot 63 on Sunday.
Bordeaux lost 2-0 in their backyard with the Ghanaian defender missing the game due to a delay in the arrival of his International Transfer Certificate.
Mensah could miss several games for the side if his ITC does not arrive on time.
