A 4-man delegation has been detailed to engage Naval Task Force (NTF) detachment communities along the Volta Lake, on safe water transport.
This is part of the Ghana Maritime Authority’s routine exercises aimed at drumming home the necessity of strictly observing all the safety protocols on the Lake.
Key on the agenda for the 9-day sensitisation activity will be the wearing of life jackets, the use of fire extinguishers and tips on search and rescue.
Others are adherence to weather warnings, ideas on the construction of durable boats and servicing of outboard motors.
The team is led by Naval Commander Festus Brobbey and is complete of Captain Darlington Akrofi and Messrs Patrick Appiah-Opong & Kwaku Ahenkorah.
