The Ghana National Fire Service as part of its mandate to heighten the role of individuals in fire prevention has intensified its public fire safety education nationwide in Schools, Residential Communities, Worship Centres, Market places and Media houses to reduce the rate of undesired fires.
The sensitisation exercise is expected to reach the masses with contemporary fire safety precautionary tips that will ultimately cause positive attitudinal changes towards fire prevention nationwide.
The GNFS therefore, urge all and sundry to support and cooperate with the Service to achieve its set objective.
According to the GNFS, one’s personal fire safety remains one’s personal responsibility and that every citizen must be security conscious to prevent fire disasters.
Ghana has recorded numerous fire outbreaks from the beginning of the year, a situation seem to be on the rise as compared to successive years.
