Former First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Okere Constituency in the Eastern region, Godfred Atua Addo famously known as Pattuah, has joined Okere Parliamentary race to represent the constituency in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Godfred Atua Addo submitted his nomination forms to party executives for his readiness for the contest.
He vowed to continue the good work of the incumbent lawmaker who doubles as a Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Dan Kweku Botwe in the area.
‘‘It is my mandate to come, to get the political strength to empower the youth in the constituency,’’ Godfred Atua Addo told the press after he submitted his forms.
The aspiring parliamentary candidate promised to create job opportunities for the good people of Okere adding that he will focus on young people’s participation and empowerment.
He added that he will take the constituency to the next level with development and transformation.
He called for support from the delegates in the constituency in the parliamentary primaries.
The Party on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 opened nominations for individuals seeking to represent the party in constituencies with sitting Members of Parliament.
The party has scheduled January 27, 2024, as the date for parliamentary primaries in constituencies with sitting MPs.
