The Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), has announced that government will allocate 50,000 fully funded training slots to persons with disabilities under the One Million Coders Programme next year.
Speaking at the 2025 International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebration, the Minister reaffirmed government’s commitment to advancing digital inclusion and ensuring that all citizens can access and benefit from emerging technologies.
He outlined ongoing efforts to strengthen accessibility across government digital platforms and deepen collaboration with the NCA, industry partners and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to enhance affordability and inclusive communication services.
The Minister emphasised that technology must serve as a bridge to opportunity, calling for collective action from government, the private sector and development partners to support a more inclusive digital future for all.
