Vice President Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned 339 Officers of Cadet Course Intake XXIII into the Officers Corps of the Ghana National Fire Service.
While congratulating the officers for honouring the call to serve our dear country, he also urged them to uphold the tenets of the Ghana Fire Service and serve with commitment and dedication.
He stated “Our government appreciates the important role the Ghana Fire Service plays in the management of fire in the country, hence our massive investment in resourcing the Service, which is evident by numerous interventions, including the recent supply of two hydraulic platforms capable of reaching the sixteenth floor of a building, to assist in dealing with fire and rescue in high-rise buildings”.
“Also, to boost the training capacity of the Fire Service, two additional Fire Academy and Training Schools, as well as a Fire College, are under construction”.
