Martin Adjei Mensah-Korsah, Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development has reiterated President Akufo-Addo’s commitment to making education attractive and inclusive for all from basic to tertiary levels.
He said that would not shatter the dreams of any child who is gifted and wants to climb to the apex of the ladder in our educational sector.
According to the Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency the Bono East region, it is in this direction that the NPP Government over the years has been expanding educational infrastructure, initiated free SHS and other programs to get every child into school despite one’s financial status.
Hon. Adjei Mensah-Korsah made this disclosure at Techiman, at a short ceremony where through his NGO by name, “MIKAM Foundation” handed over financial support to some 320 tertiary students in his constituency to help pay their fees in their respective Institutions.
He further pledged to support any brilliant but needy student who either applies or is identified to reach higher heights as he has always dreamt of improving the level of education in his constituency.
Meanwhile, some beneficiary parents and students who spoke to the media appreciating the MP, promised to use the monies received for it’s intended purposes in order to make Techiman greater in the coming years.
