As part of the Government’s agenda to leverage Science and Technology for socio-economic transformation, sod-cutting has been done for the building of a Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Senior High School in the Sawua community.
The building when completed will be a 21st century Senior High School for STEM education in the country.
The education minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum who was the Guest of Honour thanked the DCE for Bosomtwe, Hon. Joseph Asuming, Mr. Addae Poku Aikins, the Constituency Chairman, Assembly Man, District Education Executives, chiefs, and Chairperson for the ceremony Sawua Hemaa Nana Akosua Abrefi II who are poised to work together with contractors to work within schedule.
He said the facility when completed will offer the opportunity to most students in the study of science and technology and also build their capabilities in the sector.
He insisted science and technology continues to play a vital role in the development of every nation, and that, the government would continue to offer such opportunities to students who wish to pursue such courses.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum emphasized that sod will be cut for other communities in the coming days.
