Following a major cost decrease announced by the Ministry of Health, prospective students wishing to enroll in Ghanaian health training institutes would pay less for application forms this year.
The Office of the Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, said in a press release that the application forms are now only GHS 150.00 instead of GHS 200.00.
“The reduction is intended to enhance access and affordability for applicants across the country,” the statement emphasized.
The sale of application forms for the 2025/2026 academic year is set to begin on Tuesday, 22nd April 2025, and will end on Thursday, 19th June 2025. The Ministry has assured the public that “details will be published soon.”
The Minister cautioned prospective applicants to be mindful of where they purchase the forms: “The general public and all prospective applicants are entreated to take note that only GCB Bank PLC and the Agriculture Development Bank are mandated to sell the application forms.”
This action is viewed as a component of the Ministry’s larger plan to increase youth access to health education, particularly for those from marginalized groups.
Kwabena Mintah Akandoh (MP), the Minister, signed the press release, reaffirming the government’s commitment to provide equal access to healthcare training opportunities.
