The District Chief Executive for the Upper West Akyem of the Eastern Region, Honourable Eugene Kwabena Sackey has said Nana Akufo-Addo led Administration will continue to bring Education closer to all Ghanaians and make it quality and affordable.
He said the Upper West Akyem District Assembly will also lobby for their share of National cake in Education and invest massively in Infrastructure to improve Teaching and learning in the area.
Speaking at the maiden homecoming event organized by Atimatim Old Students Association (ATOSA) in collaboration with current students in Atimatim D/A Basic School, Honourable Eugene Kwabena Sackey said for the past five years in office, the central Government and the District Assembly have improved on the provision of infrastructure and quality education and will continue to make Ghana’s Education one the best in the Continent.
He lauded the Atimatim School Headteacher and his team for initiating the homecoming event to solicit for the fund to construct an Information and Communication Technology center as well as Library and pledged to support them.
Head teacher of the School, Mr. Abdul Razak Husein said the maiden homecoming event was to bring the old student back to support the school, build a cordial relationship between teachers, pupils and parents and to promote, discover and explore talent and spiritual gifts of the pupil in public to encourage parents to support their kids.
The Head teacher commanded the Atimatim community members for their Hospitality and urged parents to invest in education their priority for the school to produce future leaders for the country.
