Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have made their first acquisition in the ongoing transfer window.
The Porcupine Warriors on Tuesday completed the signing of defender Yahaya Dawuni from lower-tier club, Susubiribi.
Dawuni emerged as a top transfer target for several Ghana Premier League teams due to his explosive performance in the Division One League last season.
However, the highly-rated defender has chosen to join the Ghanaian giants ahead of the new season.
“We’re delighted to announce the signing of Yahaya Dawuni from Susubiribi SC. YAHAYA IS A WARRIOR” the club wrote on twitter.
Kotoko endured a torrid campaign last-term, finishing 4th position at the end of the 2022/23 league season.
