Ghana Premier League powerhouse Asante Kotoko have vowed not to resume football activities until their demands are met amid the demise of staunch supporter Nana Pooley.
He made this remarks during a crunch meeting between Kotoko and the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday in Kumasi.
Kotoko, along with Hearts of Oak, has submitted a list of proposals to the GFA, including the establishment of an autonomous league body, enhanced security measures, automatic representation on the GFA Executive Council, and a fair share of TV rights.
At the meeting, Kotoko’s IMC Chairman Nana Apinkra emphasized the need for reforms before the club returns to the pitch.
“As for the GFA, we already know you take us for granted, but from now on, whether you like it or not, you will respect us. Kotoko and Hearts cannot be ignored. All we are asking for are better security measures,” Nana Apinkra stated.
“Even today, if you respond to our proposals, we will play. But until then, count us out because we cannot sit back and watch another life lost,” he added.
