Multi-award-winning South African musicians, Zakes Bantwini , Nomcebo Zikode and Wouter Kellerman , Sunday were among four African artists that joined a long list of global musicians that were recognized at the 65th edition of the Grammy Awards.
The South African musicians won the Grammy for their song titled “Bayethe,” which was placed under the Best Global Music Performance category, where they were nominated alongside musical giants from the continent such as Nigeria’s BurnaBoy and Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo.
27-year-old Nigerian musician, Tems was the fourth African act to be recognized by the U.S. Recording Academy awards after she was listed as a winner under the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for the song titled “Wait For U,” where she was featured by multi-award-winning hip-hop artists Future and Drake.
