The Ghana Union Party (GUM) which was formed in 2019 by a renowned Pastor, Christian Kwabena Andrew has filled ten Parliamentary Candidates in the Eastern Region for the 7th December polls, beating some opposition Political Parties which has been in the race for some years now.
Ghana Union Party (GUM) is contesting the Parliamentary seat in Lower Manya Krobo with Daniel Ofoe Kudonu as candidate; UpperManya Krobo with Nicholas Tetteh, New Juaben South candidate is Adwoa Petra Penianah and Isaac Appiah for Ayensuano.
The rest are Baidoo Seth Nicholas Kwame for Lower West Akyem, Ansah Lucy for Oda, Christiana Yeboah for Achiase, Prince Law for Abirim, Banning-Peprah Felix for Abuakwa South, and Lawrence Agyapong Bediako for Nkawkaw.
Apart from the NPP and NDC which have candidates in all the 33 Constituencies in the Eastern Region, APC, GFP, and GCPP have no Parliamentary Candidate.
The Progressive People’s Party, People National Convention, and National Democratic Party filed one of each candidate in the Region.
Out of the 33 Constituencies, the Convention People’s Party and Liberal Party of Ghana filled three each Parliamentary candidates.
