Leadership of Ghana Union Traders Association (GUTA) has been commended for urging their members to see to the prices of goods they sell.
According to Ohene Amoako, host of ‘The Seat’ political show on Net 2 TV, the decision by the leadership needs to be appreciated as it does not normally happen in the country.
The Flagbearer, as known in the media space indicated the decision should also be seen as a great milestone achieved as a country, especially in relation to such stories issues.
“I must commend GUTA leadership for showing concern to the plight of Ghanaians by calling on their members to consider adjusting their prices due to the current encouraging performance of the Ghana cedi. It is a good news because it does not happen in this part of our world” the host stated.
He attributed the success to good policies laid down by the Akufo-Addo – Bawumia leadership during those trying moments of global pandemic.
On the issue of alleged double salaries taken by some NDC appointees in the erstwhile Mahama era, Mr. Ohene Amoako called for update on the matter from the appropriate authorities to furnish Ghanaians with the necessary details we need.
“I am appealing to the Bank of Ghana and the Finance ministry to update us in how far the matter as gone, whether some monies have been retrieved from those alleged to have taken those monies” he insisted.
The host was also used the platform to appeal to the ruling NPP leadership to support party Communicators well to be able to propagate the work of the government after the guest on the show, Stephen Atubiga, Leader of Liberation National Congress accused NPP Communicators of failing to sell the hardwork of President Akufo-Addo.
