Residents in Birim Central and Denkyembour Municipalities in the Eastern Region may have to brace up for more days of water stress currently being experienced as Ghana Water Company Limited salvages its water treatment plant flooded after a heavy downpour last Monday night.
A statement issued today Wednesday, June 3, 2020, by the Public Relations Officer Kwadwo Daase said, Management of GWCL-Eastern Region, the flood has affected vital equipment needed to supply water to residents of Akim Oda, Akwatia and its environs.
“We entreat consumers to store water and use it judiciously while our engineers are working around the clock to solve the problem. The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”
