Management of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has announced that it will shut down the Nsawam Water Treatment Plant on Saturday to allow for maintenance of the facility.
“The Management of Ghana Water Company Ltd, Eastern Region, wishes to inform residents and consumers of under-listed areas that due to planned maintenance work on the Nsawam Water Treatment plant, there will be an interruption of water supply on Saturday, 18th July 2020. The plant will be shut down from 9am to 2pm.”
According to GWCL, the planned shutdown will affect “the whole of Nsawam- Adoagyiri, Doboro, Hebron, Medie, Adjen- Kotoku, Twillium, Voltic 1& 2, Pobiman, Nyabenman, Kutunse, GHS, Tracoaf Estates, Macedonia, Shepontele.
The following areas will also be affected: Amasaman, Fise, Abehenase, Obeyeyie, Nsakina, Oduman, Manhean and other surrounding communities.”
Residents in these affected areas are entreated to “store water for use during the period.”
