Ghanaian giants, Hearts of Oak have provided an injury update on the midfield duo of Caleb Amankwa and Emmanuel Nettey ahead of their clash against the Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.
The Phobians come up against one of the consistent sides in the CAF Champions League in recent times in this preliminary round at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Ghanaian giants set up the tie after eliminating Guinean side CI Kamsar with a 2-0 win at the Accra Sports Stadium last month.
Hearts of Oak last played in the CAF Champions League group stage in 2006 and will hope to progress to the money zone.
An earlier report in the local media suggested the pair is unlikely to feature when Hearts of Oak take on WAC on Sunday.
In an interview with Aben FM in Koforidua, Opare Addo said, “Even though there have been some knocks, the medical team is working so well on them and things look positive, they may be available for selection considering how good the medical teamwork on them”
“We are hoping to get them fit so we can use them against WAC,” he said.
