Communications director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo is confident about his outfit chances in the upcoming campaign.
Hearts maintained an outstanding unbeaten streak throughout the pre-season, amassing an impressive total of 35 goals while conceding only 5 across eight test games.
Opare Addo, who is impressed with the teams’ preparation towards the season has assured the fans of a better performance as compared to last season.
The Phobians endured a torrid campaign last-term, finishing 12th on the Premier League standings at the end of the season.
Speaking to Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Opare Addo disclosed the technical team have built an all-round team that can compete in the forthcoming season.
“Anyone who have followed us throughout the preseason will be able to tell that the coaches are not building the team to depend only one person to score. Kashala, Albert Eonde, Michel Sarpong, Suraj Seidu have all scored some number of goals, so it is team work just that, everybody thinks that once you are forward player you should be scoring but what I can say is that, the team is working on it so that we get better than last season and we will be better than last season” he said.
The Ghana Premier League will commence this weekend, with Hearts of Oak expected to kick start the season in away fixture against Real Tamale United on Friday, September 15, 2023.
