Ghana is immensely grateful to world leaders, Pope Leo XIV, UN Secretary-General, AU, ECOWAS, EU, foreign ministers, ambassadors, high commissioners and heads of international organisations for standing shoulder to shoulder with Ghana in our darkest moment of heart-wrenching grief following the August 6 helicopter crash.
The Ghana’s Foreign Affairs minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has also thanked all distinguished international guests who came to mourn with the country.
On his official Facebook page, the minister wrote “We convey heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming messages of commiserations and empathy received either through direct phone calls, press statements or via formal diplomatic channels.
Ghanaians deeply appreciate the wave of global solidarity, kind thoughts and prayers.
Ghana will never ever forget our friends across the world”.
