The Ahafo Regional Deputy chief Imam, Alhaji Mohammed Ahmed Unus has charged the Peace Council of Ghana to be a mediator between the Asantehene his royal majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll and Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu ll.
Alhaji Mohammed Ahmed in an interview said, recently the Paramount Chief of Dormaa/Ahenkro, who also doubles as President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Agyemang Badu ll and the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been in the news since last year as the duo keep taking on each other over happenings in the past between the two factions.
This has generated lots of calls from many Ghanaians urging the two powerful traditional leaders to desist from such banters as it can escalate into ethnic misunderstanding.
However, Alhaji Ahmed said it is time for the Peace Council and other relevant stakeholders and leaders to intervene in the issue and resolve it amicably to prevent any ugly incidents.
He again advised the people of Bono and Ashanti to let peace prevail among themselves and remain in peace for “we are all Ghanaians’.
